  1. more efficient menu layout

    Allow to choose a map from User/SavedLevels directly from the menu before the game (without going into the map editor and loading the map)

  2. Mini Map

    Let's face it: The fact that we cannot see the whole map can be annoying at times. It's even worse for lower resolution monitors but even on a 1600x900 monitor you cannot always see the whole map.

    Here is my idea:
    Let's just have the option (switch it ingame with a hotkey, of course) to show a mini-map.
    This mini-map can display many informations, but the most important is of course the places of the worms which could be indicated with a circle in the team color or something similar.

    I hope you can add this feature and wish you good luck on further improvements!

    We’ll probably have zooming in 4.0. Will a minimap still be necessary then?

  3. Add weapon power settings to in-game weapon panel

    Sometimes it's not easy to memorize your host's weird weapon power preferences. It would be useful if these settings could be seen in-game too, not only in the lobby.

    Addiotionally, maybe instead of showing the "star-power", the amount of maximum damage could be displayed (or one projectile's damage for multi-projectile weapons like cluster, air strike, etc.)

    Damage doesn’t mean anything for some weapons… and most of the time the maximum theoretical damage (considering the RNG may generate any sequence of numbers) isn’t anywhere near the maximum practical damage.

    Also, I’d like to see an idea / concept design of how would power levels would be displayed.

    Update: this idea should be mostly obsoleted by our plans for 4.0 to allow viewing the scheme settings during the game, and the scheme comparator in the game lobby.

  4. Display local name for custom schemes present on local PC

    The game should scan the scheme folder and calculate hashes for existing schemes. When joining someone's game and the host sends a scheme that is present on the local PC, the game should display the local file name.

  5. Weapon fuse + bounce value

    How about a little display (maybe next to the timer area) to show the current weapon fuse for nades (1..5) and also a bounce value (+-).

    It would be really helpful in hysteria games where you only have 1 second of reaction time, so knowing what your nades are set to can be beneficial. It could also help in last second calls in wxw games.

  6. Allow the weapon box to remain visible during turns, and whilst scrolling around the map.

    In most schemes we already know which weapons are available during turns, so this isn't really an important issue.

    There are now however a large number of players playing the Rubberworm scheme "Kaos", it has its own league and community. During a game of Kaos players will collect many weapons from crates, and are able to use as many weapons as they like during their turn. With the inclusion of "real time worms" in 4.0, I feel this feature would be very useful for that too.

    The problem is that players need to stop moving in order to view their weapons and this can ruin the flow of a turn. Whilst I recognise the skill in being able to quickly right click whilst jumping across the map, it would be far better if you could have the weapon box visible all the time.

    This way you can view your weapons as you are navigating the map without having to stop and start, opening and closing the box. It would also be good to be able to scroll around the map when its not your turn, with the weapon box still visible. This allows you to scan the map at the same time as looking at your weapons, in order to plan the next turn.

    Cant imagine this would be too hard to do, and it would be a real benefit for many schemes!

    A health bar like in Worms:Revolution, where it is split up so you can see the health of each worm and how much worms each team has at quick glance.

    It would be great to have a everything been logged.
    Lobby activity, map changes, etc.
    For example i really need to see what map changes my opponent did.
    If hoster changes a game parameters (terrain type, map, complexity) i want to see that in a game log after the game.
    Because now its impossible to track if hoster abuses his power to change game parameters to his advantage on my move.

  9. (Custom) emoticons in chat

    Think it would be nice to have smiley's in the ingame chat. Preferably custom smileys @ the size of i.e. the team (flag) visual. And a set of default ones wich can be designed (by me).

  10. identify which team belongs to which player

    On the hosting menu, you can't tell which of the teams belongs to which of the joined player. Or vice versa, if you wan't to kick a player that hasn't added his team yet, you have to take a guess. Unfortunatly you often kick the wrong player...

    If there was some come kind of connection between a playername and his team (number, color or name brackets e.g.) things would be much more comfortable.

    The colour of the team names matches the colour of the player.

  11. Larger Chat Font

    I'm using a 17" wide screen laptop display with the game resolution set at 1280x720. The chat font size is very small and I need to get really close to read it. Can we have an option to increase the font size? The LargerFonts registry setting doesn't apply to chat, and makes the other fonts too large on my screen, so a separate option would be great.

  12. Easily viewable weapon settings in game lobby

    Instead of having to click a button, and cycle through the different weapon settings, I suggest to have an image similar to the <in-game right-click menu> within the game lobby.

    -positioned maybe on the right side of chat, making the chat box smaller
    -weapons with no ammo greyed out/not visible.
    -weapon power indicated by size of weapon (or see below)
    -weapon quantity indicated by a small "x1" or "x2", etc....
    -crate setting indicated by a small stack to the (left) side of the weapon image.
    -Maybe for weapon power, indicated in a similar way to crate, but with (red) boxes on the OTHER side of the weapon image.
    -Hovering over a weapon image should display the name of the weapon below the whole panel.

    With the current setup, there often isn't time to check settings as players just want to get on with the game. With my idea, this will give players a quick overview of the weapon settings, and will make obvious flaws stand out.... probably saving alot of people from needless rehosts ^^

  13. Displaying a message when a screenshot is taken

    This is what Starcraft has done:

    A text message can be shown AFTER the screenshot is taken and saved successfully.
    Of course, the message should be in the chat box. If there's no chat box (i.e. in the main menu), then no message will be shown.

  14. Quick Lists for Themes and Super Weapons

    When I a edit a level, I like to pick a theme for it, but to normally find the one I want it takes a lot of pointless cycling. Is there anyway a list format could be implemented as to find the theme I want very quickly from the level editor?
    List format would also benefit in the team editor when you are picking your super weapon.

  15. Correct some spanish translations like "Bazoka", "Paracaías".

    "Bazoka" and "Paracaías" as they appear in the upper part of the screen when you pick up or select them, should be translated to "Bazooka" or "Bazuca" and "Paracaídas" like they appear in the weapon selection tab.

  16. "Restart Round" in Esc menu for offline matches

    -For missions/training/single/multiplayer
    -Quicker than quitting/"draw round" and starting again
    -should have "yes/no" confirmation
    -Creates seperate replay file

    I can see it being mainly useful for missions, where you aren't pleased with your current standing and just want to restart.

  17. Make the cursor blinking equal to the system setting

    IIRC the previous version 3.6.29.0 had the cursor blink rate follow the system setting, but the latest one 3.6.31.0 blinks even though on my system the cursor blink rate is set to None.

  18. Emulate RMB click by pressing "Context menu" key

    Tiny improvement you could add before releasing new beta. Pressing "context menu" key would show wep menu ingame, so player will see available weps w/o having his hand off keyboard. Could be very useful in fast-paced gamemodes.

    Seeing how many turns have passed next to the total time could be useful. Maybe sudden death could then be activated after a certain number of turns.

  20. "Cancel" button on a "Please wait... working..." window.

    Sometimes those windows won't go away for a very long time and you can't either minimize game or close it with Alt-F4. It's not nice to press Ctrl-Alt-Del, launch Task Manager and terminate WA process all those times.
