  1. On shots that are really touch-and-go but you're sure you can make, its often gutting that you miss and can't recreate the conditions to try again. A feature to 'rewind' or reset the worms, landscape and wind to what it was before the shot was taken (i.e. allow it to be taken again) would be great for practice. Obviously only applicable to single player/fun games.

  3. The game should scan the scheme folder and calculate hashes for existing schemes. When joining someone's game and the host sends a scheme that is present on the local PC, the game should display the local file name.

  4. So, rather than having to put the playback at... times in the filename and the user has to remember to input them (or a parser written), there would be an external app that allows you to add the playback time to it, then when you or someone else double-clicks the replay, it would pop up a window saying "Do you want to go to the pre-defined playback point?", then if you press yes, it will take you there.

  5. List of worms (names) of each player, each event contain name of worm

    add info about events:
    - crate (health) collected, crate fallen
    - worm died
    - player is out of the game
    - walking (+time), and jumping

    unify the log format - to make it suitable for program processing - especially info about the winner.
    The end goal of this additions is to create the database of games and the program wich would work with this database and calculate different game statistics

  6. I would like to add some new features into the Team Editor.
    - Add a button deleting the current team straight to the Options menu.
    - Clean the name fields (in the Create A New Team menu) such as Worm 1, Worm 2 etc.
    - Show:
    1. A flag or computer's level in front of team's name.
    2. Team Rank (percentage) behind team's name.

  7. Think it would be nice to have smiley's in the ingame chat. Preferably custom smileys @ the size of i.e. the team (flag) visual. And a set of default ones wich can be designed (by me).

  8. This mode would be very fun :) If the Sudden Death is begun, the game become changeable. Players can have either good or bad luck on their turn.
    1. Mines change their fuse from 0 to 5 every turn.
    2. Wind alters its direction during player's actions. Every 15 seconds.
    3. Crates, mines and barrels can suddenly explode (randomly).
    4. Water goes up and down.
    5. Worms' health alters too, from 0 to 255.
    6. Weapons' amount, power, delay and crate percentage change costantly.
    And more...

  9. Don't know if it's possible to make it so your worms can wear hats into battle. I would love that feature in Armageddon!

  10. Seeing how many turns have passed next to the total time could be useful. Maybe sudden death could then be activated after a certain number of turns.

  11. If an option to hear custom soundbanks online is implemented, maybe you could make it so each worm can have its own sounds? So a Simpsons team can have worm "Homer" with Homer sounds, "Bart" with Bart sounds...

    This will increase the size of the soundbanks eight-fold, though…

    Also – not before 4.0 (soundback downloads require protocol changes, should go in background even during the game, and there needs to be in-game UI to mute a player’s sound bank).

  12. Put the host's scheme name into name of the replay, so the replay file would look like "2008-12-20 00.48.27 [Online] [BnG] NogardDerNaerok, Javi-2, @Konar6.WAgame" or "2008-12-22 01.14.16 [Online] [Team17] Snoots, @Konar6.WAgame".

  13. Make the mines placed by players have the same fuse as the scheme setting (0, 1, 2, 3, random) instead of fixed 3sec fuse. Apply to Mine Strike too.

  14. On the hosting menu, you can't tell which of the teams belongs to which of the joined player. Or vice versa, if you wan't to kick a player that hasn't added his team yet, you have to take a guess. Unfortunatly you often kick the wrong player...

    If there was some come kind of connection between a playername and his team (number, color or name brackets e.g.) things would be much more comfortable.

  16. Let's face it: The fact that we cannot see the whole map can be annoying at times. It's even worse for lower resolution monitors but even on a 1600x900 monitor you cannot always see the whole map.

    Here is my idea:
    Let's just have the option (switch it ingame with a hotkey, of course) to show a mini-map.
    This mini-map can display many informations, but the most important is of course the places of the worms which could be indicated with a circle in the team color or something similar.

    This is a complicated question. We intend to add this for 4.0, however this is complicated by that it’d be too easy to annoy people with custom soundbanks -therefore they must be easily mute-able.

  18. it isn't a rare thing when two wormers have a row because of positions. "You had better luck, you had better position" etcetc and it mightbe true when 3 of opponent can be sinked and the oppoent doesnt have any. This would be a VERY good option to start a new game from an old replay's position and the two players can change the colors (with the same map/terrarium of course). This would be also a great challenge, when two more skilled player wants to try these positions

    I feel this feature should be integrated with “Allow resuming an on-line match using the replay file”. Part of that feature would involve choosing which frame to start from, and in this case it’d be frame 0. (In the full-featured version of the feature, the difference between this kind of resumption and “secure resumption from a disconnected game at the point of disconnection” would be made obvious to all players before the game started.)

    Having said that, it is possible to do this right now with no modification to W:A (and has been since before the betas). I don’t think I should reveal the method here; if used dishonorably, it could give the host quite an unfair advantage. (In fact, I plan to make it impossible once the resumption feature is implemented.)

  19. Along with save/restore game options, this is something always seen in RTS games, specially useful when it is an important match and one of the players has go away for a few minutes.
    What works in the other games I know is:
    *anybody can pause the game
    *anybody can resume the game
    *the number of pauses (and/or the time) you can make in one game is limited.

    Sounds messy, but it just works.

    For worms you would need it to be only possible between turns. Could probably work as an extension of the hot-seat time triggered by a chat command.
