  1. WA doesn't support surround sound being a 2D game, but why not make use of any unused speakers by having them play the background music?
    Most of these music tracks actually have ambient sound effects within them (like rain) which would sound great in surround sound.

  2. For those that are not aware of this feature in the map editor because
    it has no real use, here it is:

    To elaborate, it would be great if the water level could actually fall
    as well to maybe reveal more land underneath it or maybe even rise again
    afterwards to have some sort of high-tide/low-tide effect. May have some
    interesting effects on certain schemes.

  3. The user should be able to select wether he wants to...
    - automatically save replays and log files
    - never save replays and log file
    - get prompted to save replays or log files (possibly after the end of a match).

  4. For instance "Intermediate without sudden death" (maybe with a more catchy name). If you create that kind of scheme yourself, it's named as "User defined" (when hosting with HostingBuddy), which often scares away joining players and which altogether is inconvenient, even if in future there'll be a better "summary" of the scheme in the lobby.

    It'd be very helpful to have much more default schemes for normal type games especially! Variations of Intermediate and Elite. One of the best things about WA is the versatility of it, it's dumb to limit it by sticking to the old schemes.

  5. I think that a hotkey to switch between ingame files to play in a game would be cool.

    Sometimes we prefer a texture for a concrete scheme (like fruits for elite) , but we like a particular backround music , even we could put the title music or the stats one.

    It would also be cool to be able to mute the backround music , but no the effects (walk , speeches , booms , etc). So we could play with our music player any music file as backround music.

    Opinions?

  6. In a game as complex as worms, it is often difficult to describe to your teammate the plan you had in mind. This might be due to weird land formations, lack of good English, or other confusing factors. A team cursor would be an effective tool to properly and accurately communicate to your team. This cursor would be invisible to the enemy team so they can't see what you're trying to map out against them. Is this kind of thing viable? Or is there some kind of gameplay issue undernear that would make something like this impossible?

  7. when i have alot flags and graves, i cant see them all in the game, for example of i have 200 flags and there names are flag1 flag2 flag3 flag4... flag 198 flag199 flag200, i wont see them all in the game. i will see something like from flag1 to flag70. the graves have the same problem. please fix this.

  9. Instead of using the failed attempt count to select what mission difficulty you are playing at, you should allow the user to select if they want to aim for gold, silver, or bronze on a specific mission. This would make life infinitely easier to go for the gold instead of killing wa.exe each time something goes wrong.

  10. -Liberate option: with this option on more weapons may become liberated, for example;
    -Old woman liberated with timer 5
    -Pigeon flies randomly away and explodes after 3 seconds or after contact with worm/terrain
    -Crazy cow is released
    -When crate containing a firearm is destroyed some bullets randomly fire away
    Of course the change of happening would be low, so it won’t be annoying. It would add a little extra unpredictability to the game.

    -I would also love to see booby trapped crates back! How about another less damaging booby trap ala Worms 4: Mayhem? Like;
    -25 to 75 health removed…

  11. Worms game has always been a fun, and bright colours is a part of this fun. So my idea is quite simple, I ask to let players set the preferable colours list for their team, as a team option.
    For example:
    1) Green 2) Yellow 3) Cyan 4) Magenta 5) Blue 6) Red
    That way when I put my team up, game would automatically set top colour on my team list, if 1st is already used by player who joined earlier then it sets 2nd colour etc.

    Might as well keep an option for host to change colours anyway, so…

  12. Is possible to add missions for multiplayer like WWP, also add support for the misison editor or allow for the game to have not stuff for the mission hardcoded...

  13. Let someone reconnect from a network drop and let the hoster decide to pause the game and wait for the person, or continue without the person who dropped out.

  14. This could be done using external servers and by selecting a player (with F1,F2 etc.) and then pressing down a button while talking (next time you press the button you will talk to the same person that you have selected)

  15. You should add the ability to upload Maps Mods and Addons to the Steam Workshop
    Also it would be great to see Achievements and Steam Trading Cards
    (If a game has Trading Cards there is more chance people will buy it)

  16. Very similar to the WWP mode, just more customisable.
    The biggest theoretical problem I've seen with this is the difficulty of creating a well balanced scheme. The best solution I can think of is to let players edit this scheme in the same way we edit any other scheme, with the addition of being able to change how much each weapon costs and how many "coins" are available.
    In this way we wouldn't have to wait until a new beta update in order to play with a different "points for weapons" scheme. Or there could be leagues with a different…

  17. An option to have action replays in an online game. This feature is available in offline games and usually happens when a player makes multiple kills or calls a replay manually using the R key. I imagine it was disallowed from happening online due to network code and keeping the game short, as was the parachute being removed from crate drops.

    The feature would be best as an option, which would be disabled by default. The host should be able to cancel an action replay using Escape.

    I ask for this option because many times have I wished, during games…

    What would trigger an instant replay? Just the default conditions? How would they be skippable, if at all? To maintain sync, everyone should be seeing the same stuff. This is probably untrivial to implement even with the simplest answers to those questions.

  18. Like in starcraft where a majority of people have to vote to boot a lagger, if all players type "/kick username" (or the player's #, like with wormkit's kicking feature) into the chatbox then that player is dropped. It would be harder to abuse this than when only the host has the kicking authority. This way even one person could refuse to kick, which would prevent the kicking of someone who doesn't really deserve it (ie: they're slightly noobish).

  19. It would be cool if clients could download schemes from the host from within the lobby, rather than extracting them from a replay file.

    I guess it would be limited to saved schemes (i.e. not those which display as [User defined]) which the client does not already have (could be checked using the proposed "Display local name for custom schemes present on local PC" feature).

  20. Idea : In the custom map selection (maps in User\SavedLevels), we should have an option to choose randomly the map. It can be useful when you don't know what to choose and want to let the chance to choose the map.

    I hope this idea will be implemented :-)
