Add an option for respawning mines
Obviously, this would only be useful on indestructable landscape. Would be interesting in boomraces, shoppers, etc.

This will probably go in together with some scripting or other customization (e.g. support for mission files as schemes)

@Dario I guess if this gonna be implemented it will be scheme option so it wouldn't affect "seriousness" of existing schemes...
It can be option right near crate probabilities... on start of turn there is chance for HP crate, utility crate, wep crate or random object(mine or barell) to fall from sky with chute :)

could exist both scheme options:
1. similar to crate probability, you could select the probability and they would fall from the sky or teleport to a cave.
2. Substitute the already existing mines on indestructable terrains after the end of the turn or instantly

Just like with crates (creation probability per turn, number of objects capped at the original number of objects in the terrain), but with mines and why not oil drums. Make sure they pop-up and do not fall (they could get activated wile they fall or bounce). Yet I don't think I would appreciate the extra randomness of this in a serious game :P .

Perhaps to keep a minimum number of mines on the terrain, spawning at the start of a turn when it drops below a certain number.

Probably in one or two turns after being destroyed (maybe this could be selectable?). Not after being moved.
