Use higher quality music from PS1 version of game
The Steam version of the game and even the accompanying FLAC soundtrack includes the awful quality music from the original PC version, with a sample rate of only 16 kHz! The music from the PS1 version is full CD quality (44.1 kHz) and sounds much better. The .WAV files in the DATA\Streams folder of the Steam version of the game can be replaced with the .WAV files from the PS1 disc image without problems.
Why not include the higher quality music files with the Steam version?

I hope PacMani can actually read this but what do you mean with " apply first OGG Vorbis " ? Please elaborate, would really appreciate it.

The PS1 tracks are around 38khz. The Dreamcast version uses GDDA, which is basically CD Audio. As a result, its music in high quality 44khz.
If possible, perhaps try and work out a deal with Lynne to get the high quality music added to the PC port, for all tracks? It would be a minor detail, but one id like to see upgraded, since users have the Hard Disk space for it, now.

Last I checked the PS1 music was only about 38 kHz. The original 44.1 kHz tracks are purchasable from Lynne's website.

Why not mp3 at 320kbps? Will reduce 500mb to ~70mb (or 128kbps - 30-40mb)

Since the resulting WAV files will be extremely large, I recommend implementing OGG Vorbis first for the music streams...
