Fix colors in Windows 7
Make it possible to play the game with right colors in Windows 7 by running the game without explorer.exe.
More info:

see: solution #22 votesThere is some code to work around this for the next Beta. For now, see http://worms2d.info/Troubleshooting_FAQ#The_game_colours_get_all_messed_up

Option to be able to play Forts in WA . (Without having to add scheme & worm placement yourself.
It's annoying to see people join a game called "Fort" and then watching them place their worms on your ground. If we could have automatic placement of worms it would seem more of a fort game to others. WA people don't really play forts, so either make it a native option or put WWP in widescreen .. Thanks
3 votesThis is now an Extended Scheme Option in 3.8 (“Auto-place worms by ally”).

Play against the computer in...
A possibility that wouldn't be bad for me: play in WormNET and LAN mode, not only with human players, with the computer as an additional team would be great.
That feature would be fantastic in normal- Intermediate games.
Sometimes, I play WA in a LAN connection with a family member. And we were talking about how we would like to have this feature in our games.
30 votesThe host can now add CPU teams to network games in 3.8.

Allow to extract the torn-out map from the middle of a replay
Useful for "what if" community purposes: you can then replicate (to an extent) an in-game situation from the replay to "prove that alternative moves are possible", "test that a suggested shot could not be done", "show a more elegant stategy to face the next turns", etc.
This would obviously be only useful with Replays that have indestructible terrain disabled.8 votesImplemented for v3.7.3 as a /savemap command and Alt+Pause hotkey.

Allow computer vs. computer
I would like to be able to create and watch a custom game with only AI teams. For one, I enjoy setting up simulation leagues and keeping track of stats, etc. (geeky yes, but fun). It is also useful to see how the AI reacts to changes in rules and weapons caches.
As it is now the start button is grayed out until a human team is added. What I do is add a 1-worm human team and surrender my first move, then watch the AI complete the game. It seems this hassle could be eliminated?
11 votesThis is now possible in 3.8: “It is now possible to start an offline game with CPU teams only, and no human teams present, pitting the CPU to play against itself.”

TS - surf mode
/ts - test stuff
With TS on you can surf properly, your worm bounces on the water, then you can fire a rope with 'enter/return'.
/surf - surf mode
Enable rope bounce.
Lower the water friction, or increase rope speed, so you can bounce further.
If you can.. make it so you can fire the normal rope with space after the bounce, i.e. the angle switches direction.
4 votes“Keep control after skimming” is now an Extended Scheme Option in 3.8. Please file separate ideas for other points if they still apply.

Have a notification sent from the game lobby if you ...
Have a notification sent to the desktop from the game lobby, if you have gone to desktop and the host wants to start (maybe put a button for the host to press, or make it an automatic alert with an adjustable time limit to respond ).
We need this because sometimes other people wait for someone else, or they take ages to download the map.
1 voteW:A’s taskbar button will flash when the host lights up if the player is minimized.

Put more time on grenade, banana and cluster fuses
Maybe up to 10 - for rubberworms low gravity schemes etc

Smaller pinned chat window
It would be cool if we could resize the pinned chat-window while playing. So change the number of lines LOWER!
I think now its too height and that can disturb players especially in 1024x768 or lower pixel number.
It would be very useful for 2vs2 or 3vs3 games4 votesThe chat panel can now be shrunk to the minimum size required to display all players (as small as one line).

Chat window retains pinned status and height between games
When the user sets the chat window to a certain height (Ctrl+Up/Ctrl+Down) and/or pins the chat window (Ctrl+Page Down), the chat window should remember the user's preference between games and not revert to the default settings at the start of each game.

Make antisink a feature
This feature makes a worm respawn at the last place it stood if it falls in the water. This feature allows mapmakers to create rope races that require perfection, but allow players to try many times without starting over from the beginning.
This is already a feature of wkRubberworm, but I don't want to have to discriminate against players who don't have that module. It could be added through a command like /antisink.
5 votesThis is now an Extended Scheme Option in 3.8 (“RubberWorm anti-sink”).

Timestamps on chat messages
I just think it'd be nice to have a timestamp on the messages in the in-game chat. In IRC and IM I often use them to judge how likely someone was replying to what I'd said or just saying something irrelevant to that. Not an essential idea but could be done either on actual time or just show the game time when comment was said.
2 votesThis was added in 3.8: “An option to display timestamps (in local time) in front end and in-game chat logs has been added.”

Sudden death with keeping worm selecting option
Two alternative features:
1. having sudden death with worm selecting option being kept
or
2. water rising without going into sudden death.<infinite Worm Selects (the weapon) is not a solution because they can be used many times in one turn and this would change the gameplay too much>
8 votesThis is now an Extended Scheme Option in 3.8 (“Sudden Death disables Worm Select”).

Allow the weapons menu to be viewed live during a replay
It would be nice to be able to keep an eye on the weapons situation during a replay.

Windowed Mode
Would love to see Worms running in a Windowed GUI (with customizable resolution). It's ideal for a puzzle game of this type.
8 votesWindowed Mode can now be enabled in Advanced Settings in 3.8.

Always center worm option
This option is a bit different than the already "always center worm option". However it takes it a step further. This options would allow the screen to actually move with the worm because the worm is suppose to be always centered. For example, whenever you hit the Home key on your keyboard is automatically centers the worm. However, if you actually hold down the Home key your worm will always be centered so the screen moves with the worm, it's quite nice actually. Could an option like this be implemented, instead of having to tape down my Home key?
17 votesAdded as Ctrl+Home.

Rehost button
Add the possibility to create a new game with the same players, that means you dont have to close the game and rehost it to allow more people to join.

Add rope knocking scheme option
Instead of always having to leave AG and join PT just to play a game like Elite, perhaps allowing rope knocking as a scheme option would help.
12 votesThis is now an Extended Scheme Option in 3.8 (“Rope Knocking”).

"Remove wind" scheme option
For a game like Time Trial Rope Race, removing wind would help eliminate the only luck factor in the scheme.
