    Ranks and secure logins are part of 4.0’s WormNET design. However, I don’t see strong reasons (and lots of counter-reasons) to keep anonymous logins in 4.0. Also, how the ranks, experience etc. are calculated remains an open and very complicated question.

  2. Specialist Worm Mode is the wormpot option in wwp that allowed to create a scheme based on that.

    Each of the 4 worms in the scheme could carry and use just the weapons specific to it. If a scheme was played with 8 worms, there were 2 specialist worms of each type.

    Such scheme required tactic and knowing worm order to determine which worm is which specialist to plan attacks and tactics.

  3. Have the "quit the game" option in online matches quit WA. This could discourage ppl from quitting games, unless they really do have to go, in wich case they'd need to quit WA anyway. Also, for the host, there should stay an option to just quit that game, and not WA, since the host may have valid reasons to quit a game, like ie: ppl dropping, desyncing, quitting, having loaded a wrong scheme, or generally all players decide to start a new match.

  4. What about of allowing the worm to stop using a weapon like flamethrower by pressing space ??

    This could work too in , minigun , uzi etc

    It can be useful for making just a bit of damage when moving the sight dont work.

  6. It would be nice if there would be an scheme option for special maps that will turn special color in them on beginning of the game into flames, that will persist 'till the end of game. Probably maps designed in that way will be mostly arcade based, or will be kind of rope race with burning walls(or other will find bunch of new schemes made from this thing... like fire surf shopper :D ). Only problem will be what if worm get stuck into the flames? But I believe that it's not to complicated to find solution for that... first…

  8. /lp (alt: /listplayers, /players) - (available only after at least one played match/round) will list all players in chat (even those, who left the match before it was finished) with auto-generated IDs and Status:

    • ID - Nick - Status -

    01 - GrO - host
    02 - someone1 - quit: game
    03 - someone2 - online
    04 - someone3 - quit: lobby
    05 - someone4 - disconnect: desynch
    06 - someone5 - disconnect: net drop

    /ban ID (i.e. /ban 02) - the meaning is obvious

  10. Like the All crates contain sheep option.

    Except you can choose which weapons exploded crates can set off.

    or alternatively, exploded crates will set-off whichever weapon it contained;
    unless if it contains something like worm select, then it explodes normally.

  11. Adding an option to turn on extra eye candy would be nice;
    It could include;
    * Sun/Moon in the background.
    * Day/Night Cycle (dimming screen, brightening, moving sun+moon, changing gradients) for the Above.
    * See Through Water
    * Dock-Style weapons panel instead of standard grid
    * More and Prettier particles on explosions
    * Terrain Debris (blow up some land, little chunks plop into the water)
    * Worm Smears (hitting a worm into a wall hard enough will leave a little pink smudge behind on the wall)
    * Terrain Singes (little black marks left on terrain from petrol bombs, etc)

    I am changing my stance on this idea… when we switch to OpenGL/true color, adding some simple (optional) additional effects using OpenGL could be possible.

  12. Make the mines placed by players have the same fuse as the scheme setting (0, 1, 2, 3, random) instead of fixed 3sec fuse. Apply to Mine Strike too.

  13. The current settings for health crate amounts range from 0 to 255. I suggest that the setting for 0 be changed to random, which would be from 1hp up to half of the worm's starting hp (e.g 1 to 50).

  14. when u play a 2v2 game, sometimes one of the players quit the game,desync or disconnects form the host.So, how about letting his teammate control his team??

  15. Have a key combination to make the Weapon tray not go away (Like with the Chat Box)
    This may take up space and some players may not like it, but that's why it's an option and not a toggle
    - Ctrl+Right Click
    - Alt+Enter
    - Some other combo

    An alternate would be to have a setting that'll open the tray when a crate is picked up

  16. "Bazoka" and "Paracaías" as they appear in the upper part of the screen when you pick up or select them, should be translated to "Bazooka" or "Bazuca" and "Paracaídas" like they appear in the weapon selection tab.

  17. In most schemes we already know which weapons are available during turns, so this isn't really an important issue.

    There are now however a large number of players playing the Rubberworm scheme "Kaos", it has its own league and community. During a game of Kaos players will collect many weapons from crates, and are able to use as many weapons as they like during their turn. With the inclusion of "real time worms" in 4.0, I feel this feature would be very useful for that too.

  19. I would like the idea of can change the kind of skunk that u throw (by pressing a number) , a example of diferent poison can be these :

    A poison that makes the worms affected to fall asleep.
    The sleepy worm cant move or attack , and he wont wake up ever until it got pushed or attacked.

    If you only have 1 worm and it falls asleep , a nearby explosion , drop or shout can wake up it.

    I don’t feel that adding hard-coded gameplay mechanics elements, such as weapons, is part of our goal. This might happen when support for custom weapons (a-la Fiddler) will be added.
